This website brings together resources on Household Economy Analysis (HEA) and Cost of the Diet (CotD). It serves as a one-stop shop for managers, decision makers, program planners and practitioners who want to learn more about HEA or CotD.

It has been developed by Save the Children with support from the Food Economy Group (FEG). Please use this site to share your own HEA and CotD reports.

The Food Economy Group

A consulting group that leads in the application and development of the HEA methodology and HEA tools. It provides expertise in applying HEA in humanitarian and development work, supporting program design, famine early warning, impact evaluation, resilience measurement and graduation modeling.

HEA Sahel

The HEA Sahel project has supported the building up of technical expertise in food security assessment and early warning of crises in Sahel countries since 2010. Its website gives access to information on the project, publications and reports. 

FEWS NET

The Famine Early Warning Systems Network is a leading provider of information on early warning and acute food insecurity, helping government decision makers and relief agencies plan for and respond to humanitarian crises.
